High Speed Laser
Lasers, thanks to their special features, are suited best for high speed velocity measuring systems. Fast as lightning they detect for example the velocity of rail catapult slides and of pedestrian protection impactors short before the collision with the test vehicle in crash measurement technique. Transmitter and receiver are assembled at a moveable stator. With a modular frequency of 455kHz, laser light is insensible to strong extraneous light, e.g. a high speed video lighting system.

Advantages of laser measurement systems are:
  • short test preparation time
  • very little measureing errors
  • insensible to other light source
  • fulfills all guidelines of pedestrian protection measurement technique
