Data Acquisition

MSC digital data acquisition is especially applied in crash measurement technique, but also in general measurement technique.

Digital versus analog technique

Due to its miniature design, the digital data acquisition is especially suited for in-dummy applications.

Advantages of digital data acquisition:

  • small and light design
  • high reliability
  • little power loss of the measurement modules
  • no microphonic effects in connection cable
  • no calibration of the measuring system
  • no refeeding of the system
  • no permutation of transducers
  • connection to the crash test PC via ethernet cable
  • data transfer according to DSI standard based on
    IEEE 1451.2
  • modular system

Characteristics of the modular system
  • subsequent expansion of number of channels
  • subsequent assembly of additional measuring moduls in dummy
  • implementation of customer-specific transducers
